A Bid of Farwell To Mrs. Fischer

Well, it seems Bridget Fischer is taking a leave as CEO of Neurocam and that her assistant, Ms. Madeline Khan, is getting the axe as well. Here is the email:

Attention all staff and operatives.

Earlier today, notice was sent to the Board of Directors for Neurocam
International of my decision to temporarily vacate the office of
Chief Executive Officer for Neurocam International due to what I feel
to be a potential conflict of interest. The Board has accepted my
request for temporary leave and will announce an acting CEO as soon
as a suitable replacement is found. My leave will be effective
immediately (Tuesday, July 12, 2005).

Furthermore, Neurocam International has terminated the commission of
Ms. Madeline Khan, Assistant to the CEO, effective immediately. I
hereby wish Ms. Khan all the best with her future endeavors.

No further correspondence will be entered into regarding these matters.

Ms. Khan's e-mail address will be inactivated immediately. My e-mail
account shall remain active for fourteen days and all correspondence
from it will be forwarded directly to the Head of Operations, Mr.
Charles Hastings until such time as my successor is announced.

Life Goes On

Well, I know I said I would post about the last week or so after graduation (even though I'm a week late...), but, I realized something. Waiting like a week then posting on that week doesnt work. Why? Because I have no idea what happened over the past week. I dont remember a thing. In fact, the only thing I even remember about graduation is that it was very hot, and long. However, towards the end, it did start to rain a little, which made it slightly more bareable.

Life is boring...

A big apology to everyone who actaully reads this piece of garbage. I've been terrible with updates lately. Its just that, with this weekend being graduation and all, and me being a senior, ive been kinda busy with stuff. Not only that, but really, nothing has happened. I have boon so bored lately.

Oh, and as for Neurocam, I did recieve a new assignment. But more on that later...

And so the usual cycle repeats itself...

I know I havent posted in a looong time...sorry.

First of all, there haven't been any new neurocam updates...

So, whats new? Well, let me try to summarize the last week.

Courtney, if you do not want to hear about prom or anything like that, skip this part.
Last weekend was prom. It was gay. It was boring. It sucked ass watching my date dance with other people, including one of my friends who I later discovered she also likes. Strangely, it didnt even feel that confortable dancing with Brittany. Furthermore, it also was balls thinking and wishing the entire time that I was there with Courtney. (more on that later, I suppose). In fact, the only time that didn't blow enormous amounts of ass was going back to Cyanide's after and drinking a bunch. Actually, wait even that was gay, cause the whole time, for some unknown reason, Brittany was practially flirting with Cyanide.

While I dont remember much of the week that followed, I do remember sever key points. Brittany=pissing me off. She seems to be acting differently now that she did before prom and even before that. She seems more, im not sure, distant i guess. Not only that, but it seems like shes always pissed of about something and she takes it out on me. She has done this for a while and now its really starting to get to me.

Friday, went to St. Sebastian Carnival for like a half an hour with Cyanide and his gf. I also hung out with them last night, and i am actually over at his house now. She is there as well. The only bad thing is, that being around them kills me. They are both good friends of mine and i am glad they are together, i even enjoy hanging out with them, but its so depressing. It just goes to further remind me that i might as well be alone and that i should just get used to it cause this is the way its always going to be. That, and it just makes me miss Courtney all the more. Why? Because of the way they are together. How close they are. I had that once...till it was taken from me...by my parent. (long story, for another time) And seeing them together makes me really miss what her and i had.

Well, i best be off, ive got a lot of doing nothing and mopeing (sp) to attend to. So, adios, i guess.

Some of you may be wondering whats new. So, here is your answer...nothing. Nothing what-so-ever. My life is boring. Nothing ever changes. Hmm, what has happened since the last time I posted? Well, last wednesday I took the AP Computer Science test. It sucked, but it was in the morning so i got the rest of the day off from school. Mothers day was yesterday, and it was, as Cyanide put it, balls. A post from Graham pertaining to this got me wondering what this is. I am going to e-mail them and see if there is anyway to get the book online. Have all of you been checking out the neurocam wiki? Its pretty interesting. Also, the Neuroboard is coming along nicely, except that the idiot christitan keeps posting about his grievences with Cheshire Cat, even though no one gives a shit. If you feel as I do, head to the board and give him a piece of your mind!
Also, I got the new Mudvayne CD. I haven't gotten all the way through it yet, but so far it seems pretty good.

PS. 10 days till Star Wars Episode 3!

Why I Hate People: Vol. 1

Now this may come as a suprise to some of you out there, but i sell COMPUTERS! I do not, i repeat, I DO NOT :
- sell vacuum bags
- sell car radar detectors
- sell the cables to connect your stereo to your TV
- sell electric razors
- know if we have any, nor sell, X-boxes, Playstations, or any other console related accesories
- sell lawnmowers
- sell desks
- sell digital cameras
- sell cell phones
- sell PDA's
- know if we have any PDA's
- know if we have any movie you might be looking for
- know if we have the new 50 Cent CD
- sell, nor know anything about any of the phones we carry
- sell any mice, keyboards, graphics cards, or any other periphrial that is not on the shelf (WE DO NOT HAVE A SECRET STASH OF OTHER ACCESORIES IN THE BACK JUST FOR THOSE WHO ASK, SO DONT!!)
- sell a secret stash of anything that is cheaper than the items on the shelves
- know why there is a bird flying around inside the store
- give rain checks on items with rebates
- know of any way to get around mailing in the mail-in rebates and still get the money
- sell windows 98
- know why certain brands are more expensive than others
- have change for a 20 (for customers anyway)

These are just a host of the stupid questions that i have recieved (several more than once) since i have worked at my current job. Why does everyone feel the need to walk in the store, pass the guy at the door, pass customer service, pass wireless, pass digital imaging, and walk to the BACK of the computer section past the other computer salesmen, and ask me these dumbass questions. I swear, if one more person comes up to me and asks me if we have the new 50 cent cd or where our vacuum bags are, im going to be forced to get stabby. Gee, im in computers, i would be a great person to ask about 50 fuckin Cent. DOES IT LOOK LIKE I LISTEN TO GAY ASS 50 CENT?!? Or, hey, lets completely ignore the HUGE "Wireless" sign right when you walk in to go to computers and ask Nick where the cell phones are. Or, better yet, where the "car radar detectors" are, despite the large "Car-something-or-other" sign almost right behind me.

So to all you future dumb-ass customers out there, fuck off, and dont come ask me stupid-shit questions.

When i checked my email this morning, i had recieved 3 emails. One was something that had been forwarded, and then another from Harris telling me to delete the other one without opening it. Despite my curiosity, an order is an order, so i immediately erased it as instructed. However, i was wondering if anyone else recieved this email.... Please leave comments.

On another note, apparently Mr. Neville Harris is retiring. While i never communicated with him much, im sure he will be missed.

A bit about myself...

I figured it was about time that i tell a little about myself.

First of all, my birthday is October 13, 1987, and i am currently 17. I finally got my license back in november, i think. I live in dearborn, mi and am currently in high school. I will be attending U of M Dearborn next year for Computer Engineering. I live with my mom and my sister, who is a year younger than i. I have a job selling computers, and making pretty good money too. I do not currently have a girlfriend, though that doesnt mean that i dont have anyone in mind to fill that position. I am about 5ft 8 or 9, i have brown hair (which i am trying to grow long, but having a hard time with because of my hair's wavy nature), and brown eyes.

As far as hobbies go, i dont have too many. I play a lot of video games and i need to get a new graphics card for my computer. I would work a lot, if i got decent hours. I also play paintball, on the rare occasion that i have enough extra money to play. (most of my money goes to car insurance.) I also enjoy watching movies and just hanging around with my friends.

My favorite band is, by far Slipknot. I saw them in concert this past March, and it kicked ass. Most of my favorite bands are heavy metal. I like System of a Down, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Mushroomhead, Dry Kill Logic, Korn, and various other metal bands. Recently, a friend of mine from work has been introducing me to foriegn metal, most of which i have liked. My favorites so far have been In Flames, Soilwork, and At The Gates. I also listen to a little industrial here and there such as KMFDM, Celldweller, Circle of Dust, and Rob Zombie. I also listen to some generic rock and metal. Out of these, my favorite is definately Staind.

Well, I cant really think of anything else to say. I do have aim, and if you wish to know my sn, post a comment and ask or send me an email. If anyone can think of anything else they'd wish to know about me, feel free to ask.

Just Another Ordinary Day....

Everyday is just another letdown...

Well, yesterday was pretty much just another day. I woke up, went online, found out (i later found out that this wasnt true, apparently) that one of my good girl "friend"'s likes some other guy, got really pissed, alomost broke some stuff, vented about it to like 3 people online, and all-in-all went insane. I then went over to Cyanide's house and hung out there for a while. Following this, i went home and got to move about 25 lame-ass plants that my mom bought for no apparent reason into the back of the truck so she could return them. However, this was no pleasent task. This is because, it is nearly May, and it was snowing. "What? Snowing, in May?!?!", you may be saying to yourself, but, allow me to explain, I live in Michigan. "Oh, ok. That explains it", you may now reply with. And in fact it does explain it, because actually, i was not suprised at this, becuase here in michigan, we have fucked up weather patterns. Moving on, while i was out, i went and bought the Magus, got a pair of dress pants adjusted, and went home. A little while later, i decided to go with my mom to rent "House of Flying Daggers". This seemed like an easy enough task, just go up to the video store, go in and rent it. However, i forgot, this was a trip with my mom, nothing is that simple. The "stop" at the video store was not me running in, as i had initally believed, but rather my mom wanted to see what else they had....so i sat in the car.... WTF!!! WHY DID I EVEN GO?!?! Following this, we had to go to the store to get some more food. This of course, turned into a problem when she tried to make me come in and took the keys so i couldnt listen to my music. So of course i went in, and it turned into a problem as usual.
Following that whole debacle, eventually watched the movie, and with the exception of the fight scenes and the music, it sucked. Following this, another fight erupted and i said fuck it, and went to bed.

Just another ordinary day...

Fuck it all...

Yesterday was, by far, one of the worst days in my recent memory. Not that there were many bad things that happened, but with the exception of last night, yesterday really blew. I am so sick of worrying about pointless shit. I stress myself out over nothing, and pay the price for it by feeling like shit. I am sick of everything. I hate almost everyone at my school, as well as several of my more frustrating classes. I am so sick of everyone's bullshit.

I cant even remember the last time i woke up and thought "What do i have to look forward to today?" and my answer wasnt "Nothing."...Seriously, somethings got to change...

Finally, and much to my enjoyment, Neurocam has accepted me into their ranks, well, as a recruit anyway. Below is the acceptance letter I recieved:

Dear Operative Ricin

Welcome to Neurocam!

I am pleased to advise that I hereby offer you a position within
Neurocam International.

Your Perception Assignment report was evaluated in accordance with our
pre-determined assessment criteria. Neurocam’s Human Resources and
Security Division found that your report demonstrated a minimum of
seven of the ten qualities desired by Neurocam International. This
rating determines that you would be an appropriate candidate for
operational deployment.

Neurocam International hopes that you will accept this offer and that
this act will mark the beginning of a sustained mutually beneficial
association with our organization. Upon acceptance of our offer you
will immediately receive accreditation for ongoing operational
deployment, a privilege achieved by less than 26% of applicants.

Your operational deployment will be effective immediately, although the
details of your first assignment will remain confidential until such
time as the Operations Division contacts you. Be aware, the date of
your first assignment will be determined by a variety of factors
(including, but not limited to, your current location, your age and the
state of any current Neurocam operations within your area). Although
your deployment is effective immediately, Neurocam can not guarantee
the exact date upon which you will receive your first assignment.

Being part of Neurocam is a responsibility we expect you to take very
seriously. Neurocam International highly prizes its strong corporate
image and reputation, so your continued involvement with us is
conditional upon the demonstration of a public manner which will in no

A brief guide to being a Neurocam Operative

The Neurocam Operative

There are multiple streams of Neurocam involvement, however the
majority of recruits commence their relationship with Neurocam as a
Field Operative (or simply ‘Operative’). For this reason the following
section addresses several frequently asked questions in relation to the
practical aspects of becoming, being and retiring from being an
Operative.

Operative Life

Recruitment
Recruitment into Neurocam and our organisation is undertaken via a
range of methods, both standard and innovative. Operatives are
recruited from a range of backgrounds. Each brings to our programme a
unique range of skills required by our organisation and together our
network of operatives form an indispensable aspect of this endeavor.

Despite repeated speculation otherwise, potential recruits self-select.
Following selection they undertake a preliminary assignment while
mandatory administrative activities are undertaken. While appropriate
verification and positive vetting methods are resource intensive, to
date we have been able to obtain information on all operatives adequate
to our needs. We have no reason to anticipate any change to this
situation.

The Human Resources and Security Division further employs a range of
investigative techniques in support of recruitment and vetting
processes.

NB: Further information in relation to background checks shall be made
available to operatives engaged in Human Resource-related assignments.

Recruit travel and residency

Neurocam International is part of a multifaceted organization with
operations throughout the world. We have operatives in countries such
as: Australia; New Zealand; the United States of America; Nigeria;
Kenya; Japan; Netherlands; Germany and the United Kingdom.
Residence within any single country is not a requisite of continued
Neurocam involvement. Recruits may communicate with their contact via
their usual channels (where these are available) while traveling.
Alternatively, secondary or replacement, arrangements can be negotiated
(at the discretion of Neurocam International) to support you during
travel, or following relocation.
In extraordinary circumstances, Neurocam may contact you while away
from your general residence in relation to its current assignment
needs. Participation at such times is voluntary.

Retirement

The Executive of Neurocam International regards any cessation of an
Operative's involvement as regrettable; however we accept that this
will, on occasion, be unavoidable. Recruits and/or Operatives wishing,
for what ever reason, to terminate their involvement need only send an
e-mail which expresses this wish. Upon receipt of such an e-mail, all
contact with the individual will immediately discontinue. There will be
no further correspondence with you.

Assignments

As a recruit you will be placed on assignment. Our requirements are
highly varied and recruits are frequently called upon to undertake both
diversionary and directly productive assignments. At this point, the
exact number and nature of Neurocam assignments must remain
confidential, however all applicants who enter the recruitment process
will be invited to participate in one, or more, assignments. As
recruits progress through initial assessments, and as mandatory
administrative processes progress, they may be offered Field Operative
status.

Field Operatives are vital to the organisation achieving its aims with
the Neurocam programme. Field Operative status ensures your continued
inclusion in Neurocam endeavours. The frequency of assignments varies
in accordance with programme requirements. In general Operatives are
activated once every 20-30 days.

Public Relations/Assignment Security

We do not actively discourage general discussion about Neurocam. We
would prefer that Operatives display a high degree of discretion when
relating details of Neurocam’s operational practices.

Inappropriate disclosure of details pertaining to upcoming
assignment(s) that result in the compromise of the assignment(s) can
result in disciplinary action.

Participant health and safety

Neurocam International prides itself on its safety record. Unforeseen
circumstances not-withstanding, Neurocam attempts at all times to
provide operatives with all the information they require to undertake
assignments in a safe and secure manner. Operatives are not knowingly
sent into situations that pose a significant risk to Operative health
or safety. In short, we will never intentionally place our operatives
or employees in overly risky or dangerous situations without their
prior consent.

NB: Neurocam premises are protected by state-of-the-art security
measures, including both passive and active protections.

Contact between operatives

Operatives are not prohibited from entering into correspondence, or
other contact, between Operatives during the completion of assignments,
or otherwise. Operatives are expected to fully report such
correspondence/contact.

Operational intelligence (including media)

Operational intelligence in the form of tangible media, or the
electronic means to produce such, relating to an assignment is always
both appropriate and welcome unless the Operative is specifically
advised otherwise within the assignment brief.

Time zones

Assignment dates and times always refer to an Operative’s current time
zone upon receipt of the assignment brief.

Failure

The nature of consequence is relative to the nature and cause of
non-compliance. The most severe penalty, however, is generally
termination of an operative's involvement with Neurocam.

Apparently, Neurocam finally recieved my application and are now conducting "background checks". Well, just read the letter for yourself:

Dear Applicant

Thank you for expressing interest in Neurocam.

Your application has been forwarded to a designated officer within the
Human Resources Security Division so that our organization can further
evaluate your suitability for recruitment.

In the interest of facilitating an expedient assessment, the Human
Resources Security Division is currently implementing a series of
background checks. We apologize in advance for the potentially
intrusive nature of these checks and assure you that Neurocam
International only undertakes this course of action in the interest of
protecting our propriety operational procedures. Any information
gathered from this historical evaluation will be treated as strictly
confidential.

If your application is successful you will be contacted by Mr. Charles
Hastings, Head of Neurocam International’s Operations Division. Mr.
Hastings will further inform you about the nature of the tasks Neurocam
requires you to complete.

An unsuccessful application will result in the cessation of all further
correspondence between Neurocam and yourself.

Neurocam appreciates that, in 83.6% of instances, new applicants
experience a desire to enquire about many issues which may further
enlighten them as to the true nature of Neurocam. Due to the need to
maintain a high level of operational security Neurocam is unable to
provide much of the information desired by entry level participants.

We can, however, inform you of the following – Neurocam is a process
which you are already part of.

Having said this, if you do have any questions, please feel free to
contact me directly. I will endeavor to answer as many of your
enquiries as Neurocam's Organizational Security Guidelines allow.
